What kinds of scrap metal do you accept?

The short answer is, we take all metals, and we’ll pay top dollar for a number of materials — copper, steel, brass, bronze, iron, silver and more. We’re here to give you the best deal possible, while keeping your unwanted items out of landfills and put to good use.

What are your scrap metal prices?

Because of fluctuations in the marketplace, our pricing structure varies. If you’re looking to get rid of copper, iron or other ferrous and non-ferrous metals, give us a call (262) 338-8487 and one of our knowledgeable employees can get you a quote, as well as provide you with the next steps to get your materials disposed of safely.

I’m looking for metal recycling near me, what areas do you serve?

We’re located in Kewaskum, WI, and proudly serve all of Washington County and Southeastern Wisconsin.

Do you accept electronic waste?

Yes, but we may charge a fee to dispose of these items properly. At A&W, we want to make sure that all items are disposed of in the safest possible way. We send e-waste to a separate facility for proper disposal, ensuring nothing ends up in a landfill.

Do you recycle tires?

Yes, but we charge a fee. There are a number of steps involved with properly recycling tires after a long life on the road—including passing the items onto another facility. The fee ensures that the tires are recycled in a way that’s both safe and environmentally sound.

Do you recycle appliances?

Yes, but it depends! A&W is happy to take any appliances off your hands that are out of commission. Whether it’s your broken down washer and dryer or a faulty dishwasher, or water heater, we’ve got you covered. The standard rate for Freon containing appliances (refrigerators, air conditioners and dehumidifiers) is a $30 charge.

What is the price of copper per pound?

Whether you’ve got old copper pipes or copper wire, we’re happy to give you the best price for your metal. Because the market is changing all the time, we can’t guarantee a definitive per pound price. Give us a call today (262) 338-8487 and we’ll be happy to get you a quote.

How much do you pay for aluminum cans?

We buy all aluminum on a per-pound basis. Please call for updated prices.
